There is never a time when we’re not astounded by what our residents create. For some, this is their first experience of art and crafts, while for others it’s a chance for them to revisit skills of old. No matter what, we constantly encourage all of our residents to participate.

Regardless of your age, there’s no denying that board games are just a great source of fun. Classics such as Snakes & Ladders, Scrabble, and Trivial Pursuit all help to exercise the grey matter and keep our brains active. Game nights are one of the highlights at Fernhill House where we love to see the competitive streaks coming through.

We all know just how important our diets are when it comes to our overall health and well-being. That’s why, at Fernhill House, we go that extra mile and ensure that our residents experience the very best in food and drink. Our chefs can cater for all dietary requirements, and even special requests. Everything that’s produced is balanced, nutritious, and delicious.
With three full meals every day, and plenty of snacks on hand too, residents can choose to dine in their own rooms, venture outdoors, or join the other residents in the dining room.

Our focus is the health and well-being of our residents and this comes before everything else. That’s why we’ve created a team of experts who are dedicated to providing the healthcare that’s just right for you.
Registered Nurse
By having a Registered Nurse we can provide care for those who have high needs. Our nurses are always happy to help our residents, and their families, with any queries that they may have.
Physiotherapist
We understand the importance of staying mobile. That’s why we offer fitness and dexterity classes every week. As well as this, we can also cater for any specific physio needs that you may have.
Chiropodist
We truly do offer care from head to toe. Our chiropodist service ensures that we can keep your feet happy and healthy too.
KEEPING FIT
Staying active
Keeping active matters. Not only does it help with physical health, but there are also strong links to mental well-being. That’s why keeping active is of huge importance to our residents and we do all that we can to get our residents involved.
With regular exercise classes, as well as private sessions if preferred, there’s plenty of opportunities to keep those activity levels up.
