Fernhill House has been designed to offer something simply stunning. Featuring swathes of glass, there are plenty of opportunities to gaze out and enjoy the sights of our beautiful gardens.

This is a care home where nothing has been left to chance. Every element of design and been meticulously considered and implemented. You’ll see that the communal areas are full of light. As you wander around, you’ll notice that there’s always something that catches your eye. This really is the perfect place for our residents.

Andrew McIntyre

General Manager

My Name is Andrew and I am the General Manager here at Fernhill House.

I have over 14 years’ experience in managing residential and nursing Homes from 22 to 128 bedrooms.

I am delighted to welcome you to our fabulous home, set in beautiful surroundings with extensive grounds for all to enjoy. We offer residential, nursing and specialist dementia care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Fernhill house offers residents an all-inclusive exceptional package to include 24 hour care, all food & beverage for the resident and their family, hair, beauty & chiropody, private physio, lifestyle programme, regular events & entertainers, trips out in the minibus, TV, telephone and WIFI, daily in-house laundry service.

We have an amazing team ethos along with our residents that we see as our extended family.

Residents are able to live a meaningful and independent life and all aspects of our offering are person centred.

I pride myself on understanding and being part of the Fernhill Team and I have a hands-on approach to management.

Success is all about teamwork. If colleagues are happy, then residents will be happy, so I’m looking forward to making Fernhill a home where the team is positive, motivated and everyone loves what they do.

Hello, I’m Frankie.

I have worked at Fernhill House for over three years. I am the first point of contact for all enquiries and admissions. I also look after social media, marketing, community events & engagement. Follow us on our Facebook page to see what the residents get up to!

My favourite part of my job is getting to know the resident and their families. Fernhill House really is a beautiful home, I’d be delighted to show you around. At Fernhill House, we understand that choosing the right care home is a difficult and emotional decision. We also appreciate that there will be many questions and concerns.

Hello, I’m Becky

I have worked at Fernhill House for over 5 years. I have worked in care for almost 15 years.

My favourite part of my job is getting to know all the residents and gaining additional grandparents!

I am the first point of contact for all residents that require residential care. I enjoy meeting residents before they move in, then I love to help them settle into the home.

I lead the teams on the Clover, Broadway and Hanley Suites here at Fernhill House.

Hello, I’m Thelma!

I started working at Fernhill House before it opened, 5 years ago. I have worked in care for 15 years and in hospitality for over 10 years.

I organise all the events, activities, and trips out here at Fernhill House. My favourite part of my job is getting to know the residents and seeing them laugh and smile. I like to organise events and activities that are requested by the resident, but I love organising events that they didn’t know they would enjoy, such as Wacky Races, This is your life, Cocktail Making, Armchair Disco, and Drumming just to name a few!

We certainly keep the residents busy, I like to think that when residents move into our home, they are starting a new chapter of their life.

Hello my name is Victoria.

I have been with Fernhill house for almost three years.

I enjoy everyday here as there is always something exciting going on. Myself and the whole housekeeping team keep the home looking beautiful!

We love getting to know the residents and assisting them with their housekeeping requirements. That could involve mending an item of clothing, tidying their wardrobes as well as taking care of their laundry

I love spending time with each and every resident and helping them to make sure they get the best out of every day if that is mending favourite items of clothing, tidying wardrobes or even just sitting and chatting with them.

Myself and the whole housekeeping team are committed to making Fernhill house the best place to live and enjoy every moment.

How technology allows us to offer better care

As a company, we never stand still and are always looking for ways to evolve. That means that we’re always keen to explore any new technology that can help us to improve the quality of our care. Here’s a look at just some of the ways that we’ve embraced technology to improve our home.

Keeping residents and families connected

We’re always exploring ways to bring our residents closer and create a true community. That’s why we offer the likes of a group-wide Zoom quiz as well as virtual reality game time. This type of technology allows everyone to stay connected. We also ensure that every floor at Fernhill House has iPads. This can be used by residents for Facetime, WhatsApp, and Skype so that they can talk to their families anytime.

Enabling physical distancing

As we all know, 2020 brought about unprecedented social restrictions. We have addressed this with our state-of-the-art care pod – a garden room which enables residents to meet and see their families in person while remaining safe.

Providing better care through technology

From electronic care planning and acoustic monitoring, to high speed internet connection and on demand TV, our care home always moves with the times if it’s for the benefit of our residents.

Being a part of the wider community

Our care home is situated in Worcester and is part of the Berkley Care Group. Just as with other homes with the group, we care about the wider community and do all that we can to get our residents to engage. This sees the likes of social groups, sports teams, and religious institutions all becoming part of the lives of our residents.
