Dani wasn’t the only Berkley Care Superheroes to reach the finals at this year’s National Care Awards. The second Berkley Care nomination was the wonderful Hannah Marriner, one of the amazing housekeepers at our Oaktree Court Care Home in Somerset who was nominated for the ‘Care Housekeeper’ Award.

Joining our Fernhill House team as a Carer in 2018, Dani’s commitment to care didn’t go unnoticed and she quickly worked her way up to becoming a Care Home Advisor Practitioner and then to the position of Senior Healthcare Assistant! She’s not stopping there though and supported through Berkley care’s professional career development program, Dani has gone back to University to start her training to become a fully qualified Nurse!
From her very first day at Fernhill House, Dani has been an important figure within the home. The passion and dedication that she shows to consistently deliver the highest levels of person-centered care to every one of our wonderful residents perfectly embody Berkley Care’s values and we are so happy she’s part of our Fernhill House family!
Dani was nominated for this year’s‘ Carer of the Year’ award by Fernhill House and our Head of Innovation & Happiness, Caren Burton.
Caren commented, “Dani’s hard work and dedication that she has shown throughout 2020 has been wonderful! Every task and activity she carries out is done with a sparkle, a big smile and with so much kindness and support for her entire Fernhill House family.”
Home Manager, Angie Ryan commented on Dani’s commitment and loyalty to Fernhill House.
She stated “We are all so so proud of Dani, she is a kind, sensitive soul who will be a superb nurse once qualified. She’s a great role model and mentor for all our new staff and always sets a brilliant example of the commitment and loyalty that we expect of everyone at Fernhill House.”
